HEIA(Q) Fellows

Fellowships are conferred by our national body, Home Economics Institute of Australia. This is the highest award given by the Institute.

HEIA Fellowships

Fellowships are awarded to members who have made an outstanding contribution, at a national and/or divisional level, to the profession and/or to HEIA, such that their contribution has impacted positively on the way the profession (at large) thinks, acts and/or is perceived. This could be, for example, through:

  • professional initiatives related to government, community, education and/or industry; and /or
  • contributing to the home economics body of knowledge through research; and/or
  • published writing.

Our HEIA(Q) Fellows

In 2024 HEIA celebrated 30 years… and over that time 6 members of HEIA(Q) have been acknowledged for their outstanding contribution to HEIA, HEIA(Q) and the Home Economics profession.

We thank them for their dedication and commitment to HEIA on behalf of the Queensland Division and the integral role they have played in ensuring our association continue to be a strong and passionate advocate for our members across the home economics and education communities.
